GUJRANWALA, March 26: The CNG Station Owners Association on Saturday rejected the two days a week gas supply suspension schedule announced by the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited and the government.

All Pakistan CNG Stations Owners Association's district secretary-general Raza Hameed told reporters the SNGPL and the federal government were out to crush the business community.

He said the four-day gas loadshedding for all industrial units and two days' suspension of CNG stations in a week would break the backbone of the business community.

Mr Hameed said more than 110 CNG stations were functioning throughout the district which would remain open during the loadshedding days.

He threatened that the association would take extreme steps if the SNGPL took any action against owners of CNG stations. INDICTED:

A local court on Saturday indicted six policemen, including a sub-inspector, for forcing women dancers to dance at the police station and depriving them of their cash and cell phones.

The judge also issued a notice to complainants and witnesses and adjourned the case till March 28.

According to the prosecution, complainants Aysha, Sumaira and Sobia and others were returning after performing in a marriage ceremony in Sadhoki when Drajki police post in charge Abid Farooq arrested them for promoting obscenity. The sub-inspector forced them to dance on songs and later released them after snatching cash and cell phones from them.

On their complaint, then DIG Tariq Masood Yasin had summoned SI Farooq, constables Hafeezullah, Mubarik Ali, Zulfikar Ahmad, Liaquat Ali and Shahid in his office and got them handcuffed after registration of a case against them. EXAMS SCHEDULE:

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Gujranwala, on Saturday issued a schedule for missing papers of Part-II annual examination. At least 29 candidates have been allowed to take their English paper on Sunday (today) at the examination centre in Government Jamia High School, Gujranwala, from 11am to 1:30pm. The board has also allowed the candidates to take their papers of Arabic and electrical wiring on April 3 at the same examination centre from 11am to 1.30pm. ARREST WARRANTS:

The anti-terrorism court No 1 on Saturday declared absconders the two main accused involved in the kidnapping, rape and murder case of a minor girl of Garjakh and issued their arrest warrants.

Reports said three years old “S” had been kidnapped by her neighbour Rahimullah Khan who raped her and threw her body in the garbage behind her house after killing her on Dec 11, 2010, with help of his accomplice Mungle Khan.
