Smuggling bid foiled

TAXILA, March 16: The National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) foiled a bid to smuggle narcotics from Peshawar to Punjab on Wednesday.NHMP spokesman Umair Shoaib Ejaz told newsmen that NHMP stopped a bus on Islamabad- Peshawar motorway. On searching it, they recovered 6.5kg charas from Mehmood Ahmed, resident of Khyber Agency. — Correspondent
