Body of missing boy recovered

LAHORE, March 10: The body of a seven-year-old boy was recovered after two days from an under-construction building of a school in Gujjarpura here on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Kabeer Ali of Kot Khawaja Saeed.

Quoting victim's father Saleem, the police said his son had gone missing for the two days. He and his family had searched him everywhere, but to no avail.

On Thursday, the police said a laborer spotted the body of a minor boy and informed the police and local residents.

The police said initial investigation suggested that the boy was sodomized by unidentified criminal(s) who later strangulated him.

The police found some profound wounds on the head of the victim and also recovered a brick with blood spots from the site. The body was sent to a morgue for an autopsy.

A case has been registered against unidentified killer(s) on the complaint of victim's father, Saleem. — Staff Reporter
