ISLAMABAD, Oct 9: The new parliament will not be a ‘hung parliament’.

This was stated by the information minister, Nisar A. Memon, while talking to the newsmen during his visit to the Election and Media Cell established at the Press Information Department on Wednesday.

It will be a stable parliament as the elements which weakens the parliament will be eradicated, he added.

To a question about winning of the king’s party, the minister said that for the government all the parties were equal.

“I can’t comment on the issue as my statement can influence the election results.”

The government has no such plan to bring any specific party in power, he added.

Talking about turnout in the polls, Mr Memon said the turnout would be more than all the previous elections due to the increase in national assembly seats and reduction in the age limit of voters.

Extra ordinary security measures have been taken throughout the country to maintain law and order during the elections, he added.
