Impersonator arrested

ISLAMABAD, March 4: A man impersonating an official of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), snatching cash and valuables, was arrested on Friday, police said.

A fake service card of ISI and Rs250,000 were recovered from the impersonator – Mohammad Jamil alias Pada, 47, a native of Kasur, but living the in capital for the last couple of decades. His father was a government official affiliated with the education ministry.

Police have been receiving complaints about a man introducing himself as ISI official and snatching cash from the people.

The impersonator had deprived two brothers of Rs266,000 near the Naval complex on February 25. The brothers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were in Islamabad to get a visa from the Thai embassy.
