Xenomania versus national integrity

‘XENOMANIA’ is the most lethal foe of national integrity. It gradually corrodes the sense of patriotism and love for one’s own traditions, value and culture. A xenophile can be considered a victim of inferiority complex.This approach or perspective can prove to be fatal if it continues in Pakistan.

It is unfortunate for most of the citizens of Pakistan that they only buy things which are imported.

The label of ‘made in Pakistan’ is a sign of humiliation instead of being a matter of pride.

Anyone endowed with the spirit of nationalism appreciates the products of his or her country. Unfortunately, Pakistanis lack the spirit of nationalism.

We prefer what doesn’t belong to us and this is an abysmal situation which is also threatening our economy.

Brain-drain is also a product of ‘xeno-centrism’ as people look for greener pastures in foreign countries.

Our educational standards are judged by our competency in the English language. We should be proud of our lifestyle, culture and traditions.FAKIHA HASSAN RIZVILahore
