Telephone exchange gutted in Panjgur

QUETTA, Feb 20: Thousands of phones went out of order in Panjgur town on Sunday after a telephone exchange office was set on fire by unidentified assailants, witnesses said.

“Unidentified men torched the telephone exchange office,” Naveed Baloch, a resident of the area said, adding flames were seen rising from the premises.

Mr Baloch said that infrastructure on the premises had been gutted.

An official of the Levies Force told that a case had been registered against the attackers and efforts were under way to capture them.—Correspondent
