Bullet-riddled body of army man found

HARIPUR, Feb 19: A bullet-riddled body of a serving army personnel was found in the jurisdiction of Hattar police station on Saturday.

Area people informed the police that they had spotted a body of a man in his 30s near a cement factory.

The police took the body into custody and shifted it to the DHQ hospital for autopsy. According to autopsy report the man was shot at his head somewhere else and his body was thrown near a cement plant. The man was identified as Mohammad Akram, son of Movez Khan of Mohalla Karbala Attock. He was a serving army man.DRUGS SET ABLAZE: Police on Saturday set ablaze big quantity of narcotics at Hattar police station. The narcotics included heroin, hashish, opium and liquor that had been recovered during last eight years. Judicial magistrate supervised the activity. 250 kilograms of heroin, 50 kilograms of hashish, 10,000 bottles of homemade liquor and some quantity of opium were set on fire. — Correspondent
