Four cops robbed of guns, thrashed

KASUR, Feb 3: Robbers thrashed four policemen after snatching official weapons, cards, cash and cell phones from them on Baghiana road in Phoolnagar's City police precincts on Thursday.

The robbers took assistant sub-inspector Karamat Ali and constables Amin, Wasim and Tariq hostage and snatched everything they had. They also thrashed the policemen and ripped their uniforms.

Separately, five brothers, including Ilyas, Qayyum and Abdul Razaq, allegedly thrashed a police team headed by sub-inspector Shaukat Ali after a raid on their house in Sarhali Kalan village in Mustafabad police precincts.

The police had raided the house to arrest Ilyas in a theft case.
