Death for killer of two wives, four children

LAHORE, Jan 25: An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) in Bahawalpur on Tuesday handed down death sentence on seven counts to an accused involved in killing his two wives and four children in Khanpur tehsil of Rahimyar Khan district in 2009.

According to Punjab's chief prosecutor Chaudhry Jahangir, convict Zafar Hussain had assassinated his wives Rukhsana and Jameela and four children when they were all asleep in the house over a domestic dispute. Dawn

“The police registered a case against the criminal under sections 302 and 7/ATA and arrested him after some days. The ATC tried this case in Bahawalpur,” Mr Jahangir told .

He said the PPD had deputed a team of experienced prosecutors to follow up the case by getting the accused prosecuted with severe punishment by the ATC. Staff Reporter
