Dead man proves explosive

PESHAWAR, Jan 23: Three police investigators were injured when an improvised device exploded as they approached a dead body found in Sarband area of the city on Sunday morning.

Local people had informed the police that a body of an unidentified person was lying at Khalwat Korona area in Sarband.

Witnesses said that when a police party reached there to investigate an improvised explosive device planted near the body went off. The explosion caused injuries to sub-inspector Khanimullah Khan, constable Hamid and another policeman.

The injured were taken to the Hayatabad Medical Complex where they were stated to be out of danger.
