PROTEST: The students of Government Postgraduate College Swabi blocked Swabi-Mardan Road for more than an hour here on Wednesday to protest the excessive electricity bills of the college and rude behaviour of public transporters.

The protesting students marched from college to Gohati bus stop and blocked the road.

They said that inflated bills were sent to college administration despite the fact that power supply remained suspended to their hostels most of the time.

They said that only one hostel of the college received Rs70,000 electricity bill.

They said that the college would not pay the bill.

They said that they knew a number of Pesco employees, who had given electricity connections from their homes to their neighbours.
