It`s not cricket `No ball`call ends in murder

KARAK, Jan 19: Two players were killed when a cricket pitch turned into a battlefield during a friendly match in Chanda Khurram area here on Wednesday.

The players of rival teams exchanged fire with each other over a minor issue, leaving two of them dead. Police said that two teams of Chanda Khurram village were playing a cricket match when the players exchanged harsh words over a no-ball issue.

The exchange of hot words was followed by trade of fire between the two teams. Two players, one each from both the teams, were shot dead in exchange of fire. The victims were identified as Nawaz Khan and Rafiullah.

The relatives of Rafiullah lodged an FIR at Banda Daud Shah police station against Aqal Mohammad and Islam Rasool while the family of Nawaz Khan nominated Rafiullah in the case. Police registered a case and started raids for the arrest of the accused.
