Minor girl kidnapped

ISLAMABAD, Dec 28: A woman allegedly abducted a minor girl from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) on Tuesday.

Police said a woman from Taxila along with her two-year-old daughter and a relative came to the hospital. As she was going to radiology lab for X-ray, her daughter started weeping and asked for water. Seeing the minor weeping, another woman came to the mother and offered to arrange water. Police said the mother not only handed over the daughter to that woman but also took the relative along with her to the lab.

When the mother and the relative returned, the woman and the minor girl were missing. A search in the hospital by its security guards and policeman deployed at the emergency ward remained unsuccessful. Margalla police were informed about the abduction, which cordoned off the hospital and also carried out search but failed to find the woman and the girl.

Later, the mother and her relative left for Taxila, telling the police that the girl's father would contact them for lodging complaint about abduction.—Staff Reporter
