SFA course for women referees begins

KARACHI, Dec 21: The first women football referees course organised by the Sindh Football Association (SFA) in collaboration with the Jinnah University for Women commenced at the university grounds here on Tuesday.

The 10-day course has been planned by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) aiming to unearth talent other than the playing kind among the sportswomen of Sindh.

The course is being attended by 35 young women from the province. Abdul Shakoor and Mohammad Iqbal are the main instructors while FIFA referee Abdul Aziz, international referee Mohammad Arsalan and national women referee Zehra Abbas are the assistant instructors.

Azra Tabassum of Jinnah University is the course coordinator with Qamar Yar Khan of the Sindh Football Association and Sana Shafi serving as deputy coordinators.
