MIRAMSHAH, Dec 2: Five soldiers were injured seriously when a military convoy was hit by a remote-controlled bomb in Spinwam tehsil of North Waziristan on Thursday, official sources said.Residents of the area, however, said up to three security personnel could have died in the explosion. The convoy was going from Mirali to Thall garrison.According to an official, security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation. They also clamped a curfew on Thall-Mirali road.

Security forces have stepped up their activities in the area and most parts of the agency have been placed under curfew.
