Two killed as house destroyed in blast

BANNU, Nov 22: Two people were killed and two others injured when a house collapsed following a bomb blast here on Monday, police and locals said.

They said that the bomb was planted outside the house of Sharifullah in the congested Sokrhi Muslimabad neighbourhood in the jurisdiction of Cantt police station by unknown saboteurs. The explosive device went off with a bang at 8:30pm destroying the building completely.

As a result two inmates identified as Hafeez Abdullah and Zaafran were killed and two other family members were wounded in the explosion. The injured were taken to the District Headquarter Hospital, Bannu.

The blast was so powerful that several houses were partially damaged in the vicinity. The motive behind the blast was yet to be known. — Correspondent
