Man kills sister for `honour`

KASUR, Nov 21: A man allegedly strangled his sister to death in the name of honour here in Dhing Shah village in the limits of Khudian police precincts.Reports said the accused, Aslam, and other family members suspected Nasreen Bibi of having loose morals.

On Sunday, Aslam allegedly strangled her to death.

The police await post-mortem report.

ELECTROCUTED:A 14-year-old boy was electrocuted while trying to catch a stray kite near Kot Haleem Khan graveyard.

Reports said Naeem touched a live wire while trying to catch a kite and suffered a severe electric shock. He died on the spot.

The ban on kite-flying is routinely violated in the city.ACCIDENT:Two members of a family were killed and three others injured when a car hit their motorcycle at Pattoki on Sunday night.

Reports said Bashir Ahmad, along with his wife Naziran Bibi, son Raghib, 2, and nephews Khurram, 8, and Arsalan, 10, was going somewhere by motorcycle when a car hit them. Naziran Bibi and Raghib died on the spot while Bashir, Khurram and Arsalan suffered injuries.

The injured were taken to the Pattoki Tehsil Headquarters Hospital from where Bashir was referred to the Jinnah Hospital, Lahore, in a critical condition.
