Two gunned down by rivals

PESHAWAR, Nov 15: Armed men riding a motorcycle gunned down two persons in Shaikhan area on Monday when they were on way to Peshawar central prison to visit an imprisoned relative, police said.

Sarhad Khan of Achar Kallay reported to Bana Manai police that his 60-year-old uncle Azizullah of Bahadur Kallay was going to the prison with an Afghan friend, Hadi Jan, 35, when their rivals shot them dead. Rescue 1122 took the bodies to the Lady Reading Hospital.

In another incident, a woman Hassan Bibi died and four others suffered injuries when a truck hit a taxi.

Peshtakhara police identified the injured as Najeebullah (8), Amanullah (28), Akbaro Bibi (50) and Gulzara Bibi (45) and said they were taken to LRH, Peshawar.

Meanwhile, one person was killed and two others were injured when a car hit a tree near Islamia College. An official of 1122 said that Hassan Jalil, a BA student, died while his friends Abdul Karim and Mehran suffered injuries.

In another incident, unidentified persons killed one Waris Khan in the limits of Regi police station. — Bureau Report
