Multan PML-QA president resigns in protest

MULTAN, Sept 17: PML-QA district president Muhammad Raza Gillani has resigned from the party office in protest against the wrong policies of the leadership.

Speaking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said the party had showed distrust of him by not awarding ticket for NA-152. “Now I have no justification to retain the office,” he said in a dejected voice.

However, he said that he would remain in the party as an ordinary member.

Criticizing the party policies, he alleged that leaders were split up into various groups led by ambitious individuals.

The party’s manifesto reflected lack of will on the part of central and provincial leadership to address common man’s issues, he said. Mr Gillani is the son of former senator Hamid Raza Gillani.
