Three men convicted
KARACHI, Oct 28 An anti-terrorism court on Thursday sentenced three men to a total of 20 years in prison in explosive substance and illicit weapons cases.
Abdul Baqi alias Talha, Mohammad Ismail Chandio and Mohammad Yousuf Chandio, said to be associated with banned militant outfit Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, were found guilty of committing acts of terrorism and possessing explosive material and unlicensed weapons.
The court convicted the accused under Section 7 (punishment for acts of terrorism) of the Anti-Terrorism Act, Section 4/5 of the Explosive Substance Act and Section 13-D of Arms Ordinance.
All the sentences will run concurrently.
