For the first time in the history of Balochistan, 34 candidates have qualified the CSS examination 2009. It goes without saying that though Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan, it is far backward in terms of literacy rate, HDI, gender parity, infrastructural development, education and employment opportunities among others. All this, unfortunately, has led Balochistan to suffer from a growing sense of alienation which is being exploited by the foes of Pakistan, given the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan.

Additionally, the number of officers from Balochistan in the civilian bureaucracy is inadequate. It is worth noting that officers from other provinces are offered increased salaries and allowances so as to urge them to render their services in Balochistan. However, officers other than those hailing from Balochistan are hesitant to serve in Balochistan owing to the factors mentioned above.

It is requested that the endeavours of 34 candidates, who have recently qualified the CSS Exam 2009 from Balochistan, should be appreciated, as the incumbent government did in 2008 by allocating all the candidates to various groups/services, thereby encouraging the youth of Balochistan to come forward and serve their country.

Besides, their allocations to any group/service will assure the people of Balochistan that their efforts will not be wasted. It will also put a stop to the brain drain from Balochistan.
