Nasrullah invited to meet president

LAHORE, July 21: Federal Information Minister Nisar A. Memon phoned ARD President Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan on Sunday to extend him an invitation for a consultative meeting with President Musharraf on the packages of constitutional amendments and the Political Parties Order.

No date has been set, although the minister told ARD chief that the meeting should take place before president’s visit to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Mr Nusrullah did not say whether he would meet the president or not, but told the minister that he would take any decision in consultation with his colleagues in the ARD.

A PML(N) team led by Sirdar Zulfikar Ali Khan Khosa also met the ARD president and discussed the invitation with him.

Khwaja Saad Rafiq and Asad Muhammad were also present at the meeting.

It was decided that some decision would be taken after the return of PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Faheem from London.
