DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Tense calm in Dera

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 22 A tense calm prevailed in the city on the third day of the bomb attack on a funeral procession as most of the bazaars and markets remained closed on Sunday.

Police and army remained alert to prevent any untoward incident. Security forces deployed at checkposts in and around the city continued to check the movement of suspected persons. Pillion riding was also banned for the third consecutive day.

Security forces also patrolled various areas of the city including Bannu Adda, Commisionary Bazaar, Bakhry Bazaar, Kashmir Chowk, Imamia Gate and Circular Road.—Correspondent
