Madagascar Escape 2 Africa is a 2008 sequel to the 2005 film, Madagascar. The movie begins in the wilderness of Africa where the protagonists are stranded after the plane that was supposed to take them to New York crashes.

As the “genius” penguins set upon repairing the plane by stealing cars from tourists, Alex, Gloria, Melman and Marty try to adapt to the new habitat.

At first the encounter with hundreds of members of their own kind overwhelms them and they are extremely happy but soon they are struck by the jungle blues, with each having their own troubles.

It turns out that Alex is in fact the long lost son `Alekay` of the Alpha lion Zuba, and in order to prove himself as his successor he has to be a fighter, however, all he can do is dance, resulting in being a huge disappointment to his dad.

Marty is depressed because he comes to know that he is not unique in anyway, all the zebras are similar to the last stripe. Gloria is smitten by a hefty hippo MotoMoto, much to the dismay of Melman who has a secret crush on Gloria.

The most hilarious is the character of King Julian who will have you rolling with laughter. Full of fun and laughter, Madagascar Escape 2 Africa is a must-see for all.
