LAHORE The silence of Pakistan`s government over the burning issue of stoppage of water by India in River Chenab is intolerable, as the India seems to be having the evil designs of converting the green Punjab of Pakistan into a deserted land, which is great injustice to the people of Pakistan.

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Liaqat Baloch stated this while talking to the newsmen here. He said that Pakistan should take up the Chenab water matter against India in the international community.

Replying to a question, Liaqat Baloch said that the present government has disappointed the nation over the burning issue of Kashmir. He said that the PPP government was also weakening the nation-wide move of the lawyers.

He demanded the trial of former president Pervez Musharraf, immediate release of Mohsin-e-Pakistan (national hero) Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan, besides, urging the government to making sincere efforts to bring back Dr. Aafia to Pakistan from America.

Baloch said that the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan would launch from Peshawar to Karachi a Train March from October 17, 2008 under the leadership of Qazi Hussain Ahmad to vibrate the nation against the US air strikes in Pakistan territories and sky rocketing price hike in the country.
