Two injured in Indian shelling

MUZAFFARABAD, May 2: Two girls were injured in Indian shelling from across the Line of Control in Azad Kashmir on Thursday, police said.

Superintendent of Police, Raja Ghulam Sarwar, told Dawn that Nazarat, 30, and Nadia, 12, (daughters of Mohammad Latif) were injured in Darra Sher Khan village in Hajira Sector of District Poonch, when the enemy troops resorted to shelling without any provocation.

They were removed to Kotli and admitted in district headquarters hospital there, he added.

Mr Sarwar said shelling also killed three buffaloes and a goat of Mohammad Latif.
