NAWABSHAH, April 30: Many people fell unconscious as the temperature rose to 50 degree Celsius on Tuesday. It was the current season’s hottest day.

The hot weather also affected polling for the referendum during the afternoon. Trade and commercial activities remained at a low as people preferred to remain indoors. The only ones who did good business were shops selling soft drinks and ice.
