NAWABSHAH, April 21: The citizens of Nawabshah experienced the hottest day of summer on Sunday when the temperature rose to 46 degrees Celsius.

The heatwave has gripped the city and its surrounding areas for a fortnight.

All bazaars and commercial areas wore a deserted look as people preferred to stay indoors due to the scorching heat.
