11 cattle killed in Indian shelling

SIALKOT, June 4: At least 11 cattle were killed in unabated Indian shelling on various sectors of the Sialkot working boundary on Tuesday.

Official sources said the Indians shelled Chhumb Joriyaan (Gujrat), Bajwat, Bajragarhi, Harpal, Charwa, Chaprar, Sucheetgarh, Jammu, Akhnoor, Saamba, Zafarwal and Shakargarh-Narowal sectors. Some 27 houses and a mosque were damaged in the shelling, they added.

The sources confirmed the Chenab Rangers thwarted another major Indian attempt of fencing Jammu sector, destroying two more Indian posts, eleven frontline bunkers and an ammunition vehicle.

The firing between the Chenab Rangers and Indian security forces was going on in all the sectors till last reports came in.

CIVIL DEFENCE: A dress rehearsal of the local civil defence department will be held in Sialkot and Narowal at 10:30am on Wednesday (today).

It will be a mock exercise to prepare for Indian aggression along the working boundary.

People residing in the villages along the working boundary exercized black out on the government’s directives.
