KARACHI: Software exhibition at APWA college

KARACHI, Feb 8: The city nazim Karachi, Niamatullah Khan, on Tuesday inaugurated a computer software exhibition at the APWA Govt Girls College Karimabad.

Students of the APWA College had displayed 40 software regarding cell phones in Pakistan, dictionaries, mathematics and curricula books. Besides, websites on jewellery and other items were also put on show.

In addition, students also exhibited programmes on the brutalities faced by the people of Kashmir, Palestine and Iraq at the hands of occupant forces.

The city nazim visited each stall and praised students on their extraordinary efforts. He also visited the college display centre where handicrafts and other items prepared by colleges were put on display.

Earlier, speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the APWA college's golden jubilee celebrations, Mr Niamat said people should adopt Sunnah to express feelings of attachment with the Prophet (PBUH).

Earlier, the college principal, Farzana Butt, thanked the nazim for his cooperation, saying that he had helped in the establishment of nine labs, construction of a boundary wall and various other projects.

She said the APWA college was now 50 years old and it would continue striving for the spread of knowledge among women.

The Nazim's Education Adviser, Naseem Siddiqui, Chairperson Education Committee of City Council Rehana Efroze, Nazim Gulberg Town Farooq Niamatullah were also present. - PPI
