PESHAWAR: Mobile health units in Fata planned

PESHAWAR, Feb 8: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society has planned to extend its activities to the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, sources said.

They said the society planned to launch mobile health units in Khyber and Mohmand agencies.

When security forces launched an operation in South Waziristan, some organizations requested the government to allow their teams to carry out relief activities in the conflict zone, but the authorities concerned turned down the request.

The sources said that after criticism the society was being provided access and security to operate in two of the seven tribal agencies but North and South Waziristan had been excluded.
