HYDERABAD, Dec 19: The chief of the Awami Tehrik, Mr Rasool Bux Palijo, has said that the government has failed to control the law and order situation in Sindh and helpless people are being killed and kidnapped by criminals.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, he alleged that right from the creation of Pakistan, attempts were being made to take over lands, business and resources of Sindh. He said this policy had resulted in unemployment among Sindhis. He said in furtherance of this objective "trained terrorists" were let loose in big cities of Sindh and indigenous people were killed.

Mr Palijo said even a goat rustler was not released in a manner as hundreds of bandits and terrorists were released after withdrawing criminal cases against them. He announced that a seminar would be held at the press club on Dec 22 to discuss the situation arising out of rampant lawlessness in Sindh.
