KARACHI: Rehabilitation of special children urged

KARACHI, Dec 12: Sindh Health Adviser Faisal Malik has called for concerted efforts on part of government and private institutions for the rehabilitation of special children.

Speaking at the annual prize distribution ceremony of Ujala School - a centre for rehabilitation of special children, he said that timely and required assistance could help such children to be independent and capable to make positive difference for themselves as well as for their parents and care-takers.

The adviser strongly recommended adequate provision for vocational training for such children. Giving assurance of all efforts for establishment of a dispensary at the school, he said till that time a team of doctors from Civil Hospital Karachi would visit the centre on weekly basis.

Sindh Health Adviser also announced for arranging necessary donation for the procurement of school van for the centre to help transportation of special children. - APP
