Ministers, CM's aides cease to hold offices

KARACHI, June 8: Consequent upon the acceptance of resignation submitted by Sardar Ali Mohammad Mahar from the office of the chief minister, the Sindh cabinet ceases to exist and, therefore, all the members of the cabinet, advisers and special assistants to the chief minister have ceased to hold their portfolios with immediate effect, according to a notification issued by the services, general administration and coordination department (cabinet section) on Monday.

The outgoing ministers and their portfolios are: Syed Sardar Ahmed (Finance and Cooperation), Arbab Ghulam Rahim (Works and Services), Arif Mustafa Jatoi (Agriculture and Food), Altaf Hussain Unnar (Board of Revenue except L.U), Syed Mustafa Kamal (Information Technology), Irfanullah Marwat (Education and Literacy), Syed Shakir Ali (Excise and Taxation), Pir Sadruddin Shah alias Younus Saain (Irrigation and Power), Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani (Culture and Tourism), Muhammad Adil Siddiqui (Labour, Transport, Industries and Commerce), Chaudhry Iftikhar Ahmed (Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights), Manzoor Panhwar (Livestock and Fisheries), Syed Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari (Planning and Development), Dr Saeeda Malik (Women Development), Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh (Population Welfare), Muhammad Usman Malkani (Mines and Minerals), Naeem Ishtiaq, (Health), Nadir Akmal Khan Leghari, (Inter-provincial Co-ordination), Dr Irfan Gul Magsi (Auqaf, Religious and Minorities Affairs, Zakat and Ushr, and Qamar Mansoor (Sports and Youth Affairs).

The outgoing advisers with the status of minister are: Aftab Ahmed Sheikh (Home and Coordination), Syed Ejaz Ali Shah Sheerazi (Forest and Wildlife), Faqir Muhammad Jadam Mangrio (Community Development), Salahuddin Haider (Information and Archives), Faisal Malik (Environment and Alternative Energy), Naseer Ahmed Khoso (Special Education), and Waseem Akhtar (Local Government, Kutchi Abadis and Spatial Development).

The outgoing advisers without the status of minister are: Ghulam Rasool Unnar (Political Affairs), Abdul Majeed Jamali (Human Resources Development), Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah (Poverty Alleviation), Mir Ali Nawaz Talpur (NGOs), Ms Mumtaz Anwar (Media Development), Mumtaz Hameed (Special Projects), Syed Manzoor Hasan (Public Affairs) and Ali Akbar Nazamani (SIDA Affairs).

The outgoing special assistants are: Humayun Muhammad Khan, Syed Muhammad Amir Abidi, Sayeeda Bano Siddiqui and Dr Karim Mahar. -PPI
