Improved performance by Pakistani bowlers

LAHORE, March 24: Pakistan's bowlers put up comparatively improved performance in the fifth and final One-day International on Wednesday by conceding less number of extras.

They conceded only 16 extras in the fifth as compared to a total of 145 they gave away in the previous four ODIs. They also bowled their quota of 50 overs two minutes before the scheduled time of three hours and 35 minutes.

They had conceded 38 extras in the first match in Karachi, 37 in Rawalpindi, 33 in Peshawar and 37 in Lahore on Sunday. It was partly because of these extras, that made the team finish its quota of 50 overs in Karachi and Rawalpindi beyond the scheduled time drawing warning from the ICC match referee Ranjan Madugalle.
