Petrol price cut by five paisa

KARACHI, March 15: The Oil Companies Advisory Committee (OCAC) on Monday made a minor cut of five paisa in ex-depot sale price of petrol to fix at Rs34.75 from Rs34.80 per litre.

However, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL), had kept the diesel prices unchanged at Rs23.77 per litre. The OCAC had increased the prices of High Octane Blending Component (HOBC) by 23 paisa to Rs38.97 from Rs38.74 per litre.

The committee had decreased the prices of kerosene and light diesel oil (LDO) to Rs21.98 and Rs19.75 per litre from Rs22.41 and Rs19.91 per litre, says an OCAC's press release.

The OCAC had not given price comparison of crude oil and product prices during the last fortnight in world markets. The press release had also not mentioned about the exchange rates regarding dollar versus rupee parities prevailing in the last 15 days.
