ABBOTTABAD: NA deputy speaker, mother hurt in accident

ABBOTTABAD, Jan 30: Deputy Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Mohammad Yaqoob, who broke an arm and sustained injuries in a road accident here on Thursday evening, has been hospitalized in the Ayub Medical Complex for treatment.

Sardar Yaqoob was travelling in a car along with his mother when the car collided with a Haripur-bound van, five kilometres from Abbottabad. As a result, Sardar Yaqoob's arm was fractured and his mother and driver were also injured.

They were taken to AMC, where the deputy speaker was admitted for treatment. President Gen Pervez Musharraf sent a bouquet of flowers to Sardar Yaqoob and prayed for his early recovery.
