MINGORA: Gas cylinders' shortage creates unrest

MINGORA, Jan 26: The shortage of liquefied gas cylinders has created an unrest among the subscribers, amid fears that gas cylinders meant for local people are being smuggled to Afghanistan.

This has let to quarrels on a daily basis between consumers and dealers in parts of Malakand division. Addressing a press conference here on Sunday Fazal Wahab Babu, general secretary of the Caltex Oil and Gas Dealers Association Malakand division, said that an 11.8 kilogramme cylinder of Rs 390 was given to them at Rs 440 in the black market, and the subscribers were not ready to pay the extra charges.
