Committee recommends 21 probables

LAHORE, Jan 7: The three-man committee has recommended inclusion of six new players but have retained all the players named earlier by national selectors for Under-17 Asia Cup to be held in India later this month except for Kashif Mahmood in their list of 21 probables announced on Wednesday after two-day trials.

The committee was formed by chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to conduct fresh trials to select a new team after he received allegations of nepotism in the selection.

The committee members, Col. (retd.) Naushad Ali, Abdul Raqib and Aaqib Javed conducted the trials. All probables will have to undergo wrist tests to have their age determined before the formation of a final squad likely to be announced on Thursday.

Probables: Raza Ali Dar, Nasir Jamshed, Salman Akbar, Adnan Raza, Yasir Arafat, Fahad Zaman, Nasir Ahmad, Hidayatullah Khan, Abdul Mannan, Ramiz Raja, Khalid Waheed, Ali Raza, Aamir Yousuf, Owais Rehmani, Waqas Hasan, Fayyaz Ahmed, Nawaz Sardar, Kamran Naeem, Muhammad Shahzad, Faisal Rasheed, Asad Zahid.
