LAHORE, Jan 23: The first polio case of 2009 was confirmed on Friday in Sialkot.

Officials told Dawn that two-year-old Nageena had received three OPV doses during the SNIDs/NIDs.

The child’s family has been residing in Sialkot for the last four years. Detail epidemiological investigations and genomic sequencing are under process.
