Three parties mull alliance

QUETTA, May 13: Balochistan National Party (Awami group) is negotiating with PML-QA and Balochistan National Movement for making an electoral alliance in the province.

Sardar Sanaullah Zahri, a central leader of BNP-Awami and chief of Jhalawan, announced this at a press conference here on Monday.

He said the president of six-party National Alliance, Mr Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi had also invited BNP-Awami to join his alliance.

He said that invitation would be put on the agenda of central committee of the party that has the power to take any decision in this connection.

He said the party was also in talks with BNM for seat-to-seat adjustment in Makran. If an agreement was reached, the BNP-Awami would sweep polls in Makran, Khuzdar, Nasirabad and Nushki.

He said his party would keep the interests of the province and its people uppermost when entering into an alliance, as BNP could not compromise on the due rights of Balochistan.
