Six injured in Indian shelling
MUZAFFARABAD, May 12: Six people, including two children, were injured in Indian shelling from across the Line of Control in two different sectors of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, police said.
Superintendent of Police, Raja Ghulam Sarwar told Dawn that heavy shelling was reported from Forward Kahuta sector in the southern district of Bagh, where the enemy troops targeted the civilian populations with small and heavy arms without any provocation.
As a result, Tariq, 18, son of Taj; Amir Jan, 45, wife of Nur Deen; Imtiaz, 5, son of Mohammad Farooq; Ghazala, 4, daughter of Mohammad Farooq and Makhi, widow of Shah Mohammad were injured in Keri Mandhar village.
In the southernmost Bhimbher district, the SP said a girl, Fauzia Bibi was injured in Samahni.
