ISLAMABAD, Nov 26: About Rs0.2 million were fraudulently withdrawn by some accused from the account of a citizen by making a fake credit card allegedly in connivance with the bank officials.

Wazir Mehmood, a resident of Rawalpindi, was informed by the bank management that he had crossed the credit limit of the card issued to him by the bank located at G-6 Markaz.

This surprised Mr Mehmood as he had neither held the bank’s credit card nor ever applied for it.

He approached the Aabpara police and lodged a complaint stating that some unidentified accused had withdrawn Rs200,000 through a credit card registered on his name.

He suspected that the accused had embezzled the amount in connivance with the bank officials.

Meanwhile, a Suzuki Mehran car (model 2008) belonging to Saleem Hassan was lifted from the parking area of a hotel located at Blue Area. Likewise, a CD-70 motorcycle (model 2007) of Haseeb Kamran was stolen from the parking area of Numl.
