GUJRAT, Sept 15: Four people allegedly shot dead a PML-Q backed naib nazim of Barilla union council on Monday near Biddu Bhatti village in Tanda police precincts.

Reports said Jehangir Asghar was on his way back to his Barilla Sharif village after meeting some of his friends in Biddu Bhatti. As soon as he left the village on his motorbike, Ashraf, Iqbal, Javed and Afzal of Sango village opened fire on him, killing him on the spot.

The motive behind the murder could not be ascertained till the filing of this report. However Tanda police have registered a case against the accused.
