Girls outdo boys in BA/BSc exam

MULTAN, July 1: Girls outshone boys as they grabbed eight of the top 10 positions in Bahauddin Zakariya University’s BA/BSc examination 2008 announced here on Tuesday.

Of the 44,092 candidates who appeared in the examination, 14,114 have been declared successful. The pass percentage is 32.01.

In the BSc examination, Farheen Iftikhar (Roll No. 34961) of the Government College for Women, Vihari, secured first position with 689 marks, while Kiran Shams (Roll No. 34040) of the Government College for Women, Burewala, secured second position with 665 marks and Hafiz Muhammad Tariq Mustafa grabbed third position with 658 marks.

In the BA examination, Aima Khan (Roll No. 3046) of the Government College for Women, Karor Pakka, clinched the first position with 656 marks, Yasir Naseem (Roll No. 10855) of the Government College, Bosan Road, Multan, secured second position with 643 marks and Ghazala Perveen (Roll No. 5939) of The Federal Government Girls College, Multan, stood third 642 marks.

BZU Examinations Controller Waqar Ahmed Qureshi announced the result and Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Zafarullah distributed prizes among the position holders.
