Two tribesmen gunned down in Quetta

QUETTA, June 20: Two people of the Jamali tribe were gunned down by armed men on the Brewery road here on Friday night.

According to police, two people identified as Asif Jamali and Sikandar Jamali were passing through the Brewery road in a car. When their car reached near Wahdat Colony, four armed men riding two motorcycles opened indiscriminate fire on the car, injuring Asif and Sikandar seriously.

Police reached the site and took the injured to the Bolan Medical College Hospital, but they died before getting any medical aid. The assailants escaped.

“The cause of killing is thought to be an old enmity between two groups of Jamali and Buledi tribes,” CCPO Mohammad Akbar told Dawn, adding that police raided different places for the arrest of killers.

However, no arrest was made.
