NAWABSHAH: Police urged to arrest murder accused

NAWABSHAH, June 20: Dozens of members of Jamali tribe took out a rally here on Friday and staged a demonstration outside the press club against the Bandhi police for its failure to arrest the accused nominated in a murder case.

The rally started from Sakrand road and ended at the press club.

Protesters were carrying banners and placards and were chanting slogans against police.

Hussain Bux, Mir Mohammed and Mohammed Khan told reporters that their brother Lal Bux Jamali was shot dead by a group of Jamali tribesmen a couple of weeks ago.

They said that they had lodged an FIR but police had failed to arrest the main accused.

They alleged that police were supporting the criminals at the behest of an influential.

Meanwhile, activists of the Shia Ulema Council held a demonstration outside the Murtazvi Imambargah here on Friday to protest against the kidnapping of a religious scholar from Lakhi Ghulam Shah.
