Missile attack at college building

PESHAWAR, May 1: A missile fired from some unknown destination on Tuesday night partially damaged the building of the Government Degree College for boys in Miranshah, the headquarter of North Waziristan Agency.

The missile attack is being presumed to be a miss fire. Unofficial sources claimed that the missile missed the nearby situated vocational training centre, where according to reports, American troops were stationed last week.

The boundary-wall of the college building was partially damaged in the attack.

“It was 2:00am when the missile attack created a big bang causing panic in the Miranshah town,” said an administrative officer of the North Waziristan agency when contacted by Dawn.

Assistant political agent North Waziristan Agency also confirmed the report saying that the “portion of the boundary wall got collapsed”.

An eyewitness told Dawn by telephone that law enforcement agencies had also recovered three unexploded missiles from a park in the town, fired by the unknown assailants.
