HARIPUR: Held jirga members to be freed today

HARIPUR, June, 6: The 49 members of a peace jirga of Kurram region, arrested recently, would be released from the Haripur Prison on Saturday following their verbal assurance for resumption of dialogue on Friday.

“The decision to release all of the jirga members had been taken to pave way for the process of talks that had been stalled due to their arrest,” said Mohammad Azam Khan, newly-appointed political agent of the Kurram Agency.
